I've always had my frustrations and my sense of what's going on in the world - like this is the direction we're taking as a whole, psychologically, and I have all these feelings about it. I used to study political philosophy and was really interested in big-picture politics, like the direction that the world is going. Keon Alexander: It has been a really cathartic experience for me. So, to see Drummer loving and being loved and having that taken away - all of that camaraderie with Ashford as well - to see all those different facets, I mean, it's a dream. When we met her in season 2, it was so hard, because that's all we really saw - it's Drummer at work. I mean, what a rare treat to get to do that many seasons and see a character come full circle and to see the different facets of her. I rely heavily on that eyeliner to bring them all together. Every season it was like, "Okay, now you're gonna take on this person's arc and this person's arc," and to try to synthesize all of that and make it one true soul, it's been a huge challenge. They kept me on my toes, that's for sure. I kept joking that by the end it would be a one-woman show. I definitely gobbled up characters from the books. They're a super interesting window into another point of view on the same story. I would highly recommend any fan of the show read the books.
